A. Why? From your perspective, how could tuning up your accent be advantageous to you professionally?
B. What is it in your background that is not evident in your CV that may have affected your ability to develop a more appropriate accent to this time in your life, such as ineffective instruction or maybe just feeling for some reason that you are not good at pronunciation? In your general ability to speak/write/listen/read are there indicators that there is some relatively striking imbalance? For example, did you do just great on all sections except one on a standardized test such as the IELTS?
C. Describe a typical week at work for you, especially in terms of the kinds of spoken interactions where intelligibility may be a problem for you or those you are talking with.
D. Where in your work week do you have flex in terms of setting aside 30-minute blocks, typically a minimum of 4 hours per week? If you don't, stop here . . .
E. Where in your personal life would you say you tend to be the most disciplined, such as diet, working out, reading, meditation and prayer, or continuing professional development?
F. In the last decade, what have you done for your accent, whether formal study or informal, ongoing upgrading on a day to day basis?
G. I may has ask you to do a couple of light weight cognitive and personalty trait tests. In principle, are you OK with that?
H. For background music, what is your preference? Have you played a musical instrument? What sport (or physical system, like yoga) could you possibly be pretty good at if you had the time to practice and a coach to help you?
